ÖtillÖ, the Swimrun World Championship, is behind now. I enjoyed a lot the adventure with my new partner Guillaume Heneman and we decided to try to another swimrun experience to keep fixing a few details.

We will represent Team Envol on Sunday at ÖtillÖ Swimrun 1000 Lakes, in Germany. It is a 41km course including 7.5km of swimming and some fast running. Totally different than the Stockholm archipelago. It will be great to test the team in another environment. Training was a bit on and off the last 4 weeks, but the motivation to do a solid performance is still there.

I met Guillaume in July, when he came to discover the ÖtillÖ course. It was his first swimrun experience and after five days of swimrun training we did the big one beginning of September. An overall 6th place made us happy and satisfied. He is a strong swimmer who can run hard, but we have a lot to work on to improve in 2018. Becoming a better swimmer and runner is one thing, but being a team is another challenge. 1000 Lakes is a perfect race to keep knowing about each other. The competition will be tight with some strong Swedish teams but also Germans and Americans. But something certain is that we will know a bit more about our 2018 plans after this last ÖtillÖ series…
