Are you dreaming of discovering swimrun, a fairly new sport that started in Sweden? Or would you like to improve your performance ir order to participate in the Ötillö World Championships? Valérie and Eric have plenty of experience in Ötillö races, and are therefore well-qualified to give you great advice during a sporty sailing trip on the Mediterranean.
Would you like to discover open water swimming or improve your skills to try the Défi de Monte Cristo or another race? Stéphane GOMEZ, a high-level athlete will be able to train you and give you lots of advice during the training at La Grande Motte.
Who are we?
Swimrun Boat was founded by Valérie and Eric, both members of Team Envol and passionate sailors.
Previously competing in triathlons. they discovered swimrun in 2017 and have since then participated in ten Ötillö World Series races and finished the Ötillö World Championship Ötillö in 2019. They have also qualified for the 2020 World Championships by placing third in 2019 swimrunranking in the mixed category.
Thanks to the training program designed by Nicolas REMIRES and Team Envol’s training camps, Valérie and Eric have decided to combine their two passions by offering both beginners and experienced swimrunners a training session onboard their sailboat. Their boat, a 15-meter Bénéteau Océanis can accommodate 4 people in very comfortable quarters. The trips start from La Grande Motte and take you in one of the scenic places on the Mediterranean Sea (Costa Brava, Balearic Islands, the Calanques from Marseille to Cassis, Corsica). During the trip, you will anchor in spectacular locations so you can dive from the boat to discover the coast. The mornings will be spent doing swimrun and the rest of the day will be reserved for enjoying life on the boat — farniente for everyone!
Sailing trips focusing on improving swimrunners’ open water swimming are also offered from La Grande Motte. They are led by Stéphane GOMEZ, an international swimmer, French and European champion and a silver medalist at the World Championships.
