Be ready for ÖTILLÖ Cannes, with this optimal 8-week swimrun training plan designed by ÖTILLÖ top athlete and 2018 and 2019 ÖTILLÖ Cannes 2nd and 3rd place, Nicolas Remires. 

This training plan is made specifically for ÖtillÖ Cannes, and will get you ready for your challenge through a detailed 8-week program designed by a two times podium finisher.

During this 8-week training, you will progressively build the swimming endurance and running strength you need for this long race. The weekly amount of training time is between 5.5 and 9 hours. It is all set on Training Peaks.

This swimrun training plan can be followed by athletes of any level. You will only have to adapt all the session to your pace.

All the training sessions of this swimrun training plan are accurately detailed and explained. The plan is following a progression leading to the top form on race day.

  • Two run sections are uphill, steep. 
  • Most of the runs are on pavement roads, on the flat. 

Throughout this 8-week swimrun training plan, you will train based on the ÖTILLÖ Cannes distances and specificities. Be prepared for some long swim sets and some hill running efforts.
