To make sure you are in great shape on race day we suggest you get on board with a good training plan. And stick to it. 8 weeks to be ready on the start line!
The training plan has detailed sessions of running, swimming and swimrun. There are also a number of strength sessions in the weekly schedule.
Easy to access by the platform Training Peaks, along with daily emails to remind you of today's workouts (optional).
This is how the race organisers describe the course:
Starting at the Chapel of Senhora da Rocha, the athletes will walk along the trails of the 7 Suspended Valleys route, recently elected as the best hiking destination in Europe, with breathtaking views, passing in the end along the Caminho dos Promontório, with arrival in the picturesque fishing village of Ferragudo.
Along the way, they will see countless cliffs and cliffs, rock formations carved in different ways and even explore a handful of beaches and idyllic caves, some of which are only accessible by sea, such as the Benagil Grotto or through tunnels excavated through impressive caves (natural wells that connect the surface of limestone regions to underground galleries) as is the case at Carvalho beach. This trip also includes a mandatory stop at the iconic Praia dos Caneiros, the model photography of the Algarve.
